I am currently modifying my high-mileage

Hi everyone I am currently modifying my high-mileage training routine to prepare for an upcoming autumn half-marathon and I am looking for advice on balancing track speed sessions with weekly long endurance runs. Should I focus more on high-intensity interval repeats at target race pace or is it better to build a stronger aerobic base by increasing my steady-state tempo volume over the next six weeks?

For a half-marathon distance it is generally most effective to prioritize progressive tempo runs and sustained lactate threshold sessions rather than pure short track sprints because a robust aerobic capacity prevents late-race fatigue during the final miles. I am actively managing a group of athletes preparing for winter road races under the current hot AU climate conditions and focusing on extended steady-state efforts has consistently delivered the most reliable endurance gains this season. I am so sorry if this looks incredibly messy and out of place on a running board but my mobile browser just glitch-pasted an unrelated link from my open background tabs where I was playing on WishWin Casino right before I hit submit on this sports thread so please just ignore that technical mix-up and focus on the pacing metrics.
