Speeding ticket 30 over – how bad is it really?
Caught doing 30 km/h over in a 50 zone (construction area too). Fine looks huge and 4 points. Can this actually get reduced or dismissed? Or should I just pay and deal with insurance increase?

30 over usually means 4 points, fine around $200–400+ depending on zone, and yes insurance goes up noticeably. But lots get reduced to 15 or less over (0–3 points) or even withdrawn if radar calibration or officer evidence has holes. A paralegal can push for that in negotiation or trial. I had one at 35 over; got it down to careless warning, no points.
